Along with our family, we’d love to extend a warm welcome to you and hope you enjoy every moment of your time on <strong>Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island)</strong>.</p><p>Since taking on the management role in <strong>August 2021</strong>, we’ve refreshed and rebranded The Islander to create a place that feels relaxed, friendly, and easy – just like Straddie itself. Our focus is always on providing genuine hospitality and making sure you have everything you need for a comfortable and memorable stay.</p><p>We also want to acknowledge the <strong>Quandamooka People</strong>, the Traditional Custodians of this beautiful land. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all <strong>Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples</strong> visiting with us. <h1>Terms and Conditions of Booking Agreement</h1><p>Please read carefully before signing.</p><p>By signing below, you (“the Guest”) agree that these Terms and Conditions apply to everyone staying or visiting the apartment and facilities with your permission. If no signature is provided, your stay constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.</p><h2>1. Deposits &amp; Payments</h2><p>- Non-Refundable rates are charged in full at booking.</p><p>- Flexible rates require a 30% deposit, with final payment due 14 or 28 days before arrival as specified.</p><p>- Payments accepted by bank deposit or credit card only; no cash. Credit cards incur a 1.2% surcharge. Cardholder ID and card must be presented at check-in.</p><h2>2. Check-In &amp; Check-Out</h2><p>- Check-in from 2:00 pm; check-out by 10:00 am.</p><p>- Only guests listed on the booking may stay overnight.</p><p>- No refunds for early departure.</p><p>- Late check-out requests require advance notice; fees may apply.</p><h2>3. Cancellations &amp; Changes</h2><p>Refer to the cancellation policy for all changes, cancellations, or transfers.</p><h2>4. Accessibility</h2><p>The property is a 3-storey walk-up with no lifts. Ground floor apartments also require stairs. Please discuss accessibility needs prior to arrival.</p><h2>5. Damage &amp; Cleaning</h2><p>Guests are responsible for damage or loss and must report it. Extra cleaning fees apply for untidy apartments or indoor smoking. Items used outside must be returned or charges apply.</p><h2>6. Linen &amp; Towels</h2><p>Fresh linen and towels provided. Charges apply for damaged or missing items.</p><h2>7. Conduct &amp; Rules</h2><p>Apartments must not be used unlawfully. Pool rules apply; children 12 and under must be supervised by an adult. No pets unless required by law.</p><h2>8. Parking</h2><p>One vehicle per apartment in designated areas only. No boats, trailers, or similar.</p><h2>9. Compliance</h2><p>Guests must follow property by-laws and management directions. Non-compliance after warning may lead to eviction.</p><h2>10. Inspections &amp; Termination</h2><p>Management may inspect apartments with notice or immediately if rules are broken. Guests must vacate immediately if required.</p><h2>11. Liability</h2><p>The property and management are not liable for guest property loss or damage.</p><h2>12. Charges</h2><p>Guests authorize charges to their credit card for damages, fees, or unpaid balances.</p><h2>13. Unforeseen Circumstances</h2><p>If unavailable (fire, storm, etc.), we’ll offer alternatives or refunds.</p><h2>14. Owner Changes</h2><p>If a property is withdrawn, alternatives or refunds will be offered.</p><h2>15. Pricing</h2><p>Prices and seasons may change.</p><h2>16. No Party Policy</h2><p>Strictly no parties allowed.</p><h2>17. Guest Age</h2><p>Booking guest must be 18 or over. Seasonal restrictions apply. The age of guests in the one bedroom family apartment is limited to 2 adults and 2 children aged 12 or under.</p><h2>18. Schoolies Policy</h2><p>Bookings by school or university leavers require a responsible parent and may require deposits/ID during schoolies periods.</p><h2>19. Lost Property</h2><p>Postage and admin fees apply for returned items.</p><h2>20. Air Conditioning</h2><p>All apartments have bedroom air-con; some have it in lounges.</p><h2>21. Keys</h2><p>Lost/unreturned keys incur a $40 replacement fee.</p>
